An arbitration panel has settled on a new three year contract, retroactive to January 1, 2016, between the city of Allentown and its police union.

The contractor will detour northbound traffic on the Eighth Street Bridge from 9am to 3pm on Tuesday, August 30 and Wednesday, August 31.

Weather permitting, 4th Street in the city of Allentown from Hamilton Street to Walnut Street will be closed to traffic on Monday, August 29.

Sixth Street from Walnut Street to Hamilton Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic from Monday, August 29 to Wednesday, August 31 to allow for utility disconnects for the new Tower 6 Project.
