Allentown parks and trails are closed as clean up from the city’s near record snowfall continues.

Due to the difficulties traveling around the city caused by the near record snowfall, the Allentown Bureau of Recycling and Solid Waste is cancelling trash and recycling collection Wednesday night, February 2, 2021.

The Snow Emergency remains in effect in the City of Allentown.

Following an at least 27-inch snowfall, the second largest snowfall in the city’s history, the Allentown Streets Department will begin snow removal operations from city streets on Wednesday, February 3 at 7 a.m.

Due to the current snowstorm, the City of Allentown has approved the cancelling of trash and recycling collection Tuesday night, February 2.

Trash and recycling collection was cancelled on Monday night, February 1.
