The upcoming Independence Day holiday is resulting in changes to the trash collection schedule in the City of Allentown for the night of Wednesday, July 4.

There will be no trash collection on Wednesday night, July 4. For residents in this area, the next trash collection will be Sunday night, July 8. Residents may place up to ten bags of trash at the curb on Sunday night, July 8 only, due to the schedule change. This change affects residents who normally place their trash out for collection on Wednesday nights.

In addition, the Yard Waste Drop-off Site at 1401 Oxford Drive will be closed on Wednesday, July 4.
