The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation will present 2016 Academy Award Best Animated Feature nominee “Moana” at Stevens Park at 6th & Tilghman streets on Friday, June 9.

The Disney animated film is the story of an adventurous teenager sailing out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana (voiced by Auli’I Cravalho) meets the once-mighty demigod Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson), who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder.

The approximately 113-minute movie is rated PG and will begin at dusk (approximately 8:45pm).

Pre-movie activities will be coordinated by the Jordan Heights and Old Fairgrounds Neighborhood Associations, who have partnered with the city for this event.

The Puertorrican Culture Preservation Organization will be on site with refreshments.
