Visitors to and patrons of Downtown Allentown have a new website to checkout for vital information and can avail themselves of the new Allentown Merchant Payment Gift Card to pay for goods and services.

Representatives of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Hamilton District Main Street program, Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation, downtown business owners and the city detailed the new developments at a news conference this morning outside Two City Center.

The website at www.downtownallentown.com has links to restaurants, shopping, businesses, arts and entertainment and attractions and offers details on how to purchase the Allentown Merchant Payment Gift Card.

The card is designed to encourage Allentown and Lehigh Valley residents to patron the downtown restaurants, retailers, museums, shops and more! It can be used at any of 35 locations. Cards can be purchased at the Chamber office at 840 Hamilton Street or at the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley on North Fifth Street.
