Allentown Hosts 4th of July Street Festival
“Red White & Blue”- an Independence Day street festival event will take place along Linden Street at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown on Friday, July 4, from 4pm-10pm. The festival features live music, family friendly entertainment and delicious food options from local and regional mobile food vendors.

“Red White & Blue” is a free event. The full schedule of entertainment can be viewed at www.allentownpa.gov/fireworks.

A Patriotic Pet Parade will kick-off the event with registration at 4:00pm. The parade will step-off at 4:30pm.

Children are encouraged to come for fun, dancing, singing and prizes courtesy of the performers from Radio Disney. Xcape Dance Company will awe the crowd with their urban dance moves. The Allentown Marine Band, the oldest band in America, will make its annual appearance to thrill the crowd with patriotic selections.

Food vendors will line-up on Linden Street, featuring authentic cuisine from Puerto Rican Culture Preservation, Asian Grill & Rice and Front Porch Family Farms. Endless Concessions will offer smoothies, ice cold drinks and different types of chocolate covered fruit. MMG Concessions will offer fresh made to order wraps, taco salads, and funnel cake. Lillo Mobile snacks will be serving an assortment of Italian Ice flavors, and Tyler Concessions will be the spot for sweet snacks such as cotton candy and caramel popcorn.

Everyone’s favorite face painter- Crystal Klein of Funtastic Faces will transform patrons into an exotic creature sure to stand out in the crowd. Susan’s Unique Jewelry will have plenty of patriotic accessories and beautiful gemstones to complete the festive atmosphere. Robin Pychinka will be a convenient stop to purchase all of your Avon needs. Yolanda’s Handmade Creations is the Christmas in July source to treat you to a beautiful floral arrangement or gift for someone special. Xyience, the official energy drink of the UFC, will be on site offering free samples.

Visitors to J. Birney Crum Stadium can watch a full length routine by the elite dancers of Sharon Plessl School of Dance. They will also be treated to a live performance of the award winning song “Letters and Prayers” by Allentown native Scott Marshall and Marshall’s Highway. The Lehigh Valley Skydivers are back to perform their daring jumps, and Isabell Solano will lead us in singing the National Anthem. The night will be capped by a brilliant 4th of July fireworks show.

Celebration Fireworks Inc. of Kutztown is again producing this year’s fireworks show. The show will be customized with special effects that can be appreciated best when viewed in the festival area.

Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.
