Movie in the Park Series Opener Postponed

Due to inclement weather, the City of Allentown is postponing the scheduled Friday, May 16 opening of its Movie in the Park series. The first installment of the 2014 series with “Frozen,”  at the Arts Park on Fifth Street near Linden is being postponed until Friday, May 23. The show begins at dusk.

Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee co-directed this Walt Disney Animation Studios production based on Hans Christian Andersen's beloved fairy tale “The Snow Queen.” “Frozen” stars Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel, and Jonathan Groff.

“After the kingdom of Arendelle is cast into eternal winter by the powerful Snow Queen Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), her sprightly sister Anna (Kristen Bell) teams up with a rough-hewn mountaineer named Kristoff (Jonathan Groff) and his trusty reindeer Sven to break the icy spell.

“Frozen” is rated PG and runs for 108 minutes.
