FilmFest: A Night with the Experimental

In the third and final night of our film series, Ms. Gardner brings you an eclectic mix of short experimental and animated films; the cinematic equivalent to jazz improvisation.  Gardner will lead a discussion as to how the filmmakers chose to stray from traditional story narrative to craft a new form of expression through the visual arts, and how this technique relates to the composing and performing of jazz music.  There will be an encore performance of Gardner’s new film commissioned for the Allentown Jazz Festival, accompanied by a live jazz score.
