In a collaborative effort with the Fraternal Order of Police, Queen City Lodge #10, effective November 1, 2019, the Allentown Police Department will implement “No Shave November” and “No Shave December.”

City Council has unanimously confirmed Mayor Ray O’Connell’s nominations of Glenn Granitz as police chief and Craig Messinger as public work director.

On Friday, June 28, the Allentown Police Department conducted an operation that focused on ATVs and dirt bikes being driven illegally on city streets.  

The Allentown Police Department is proud to announce that the application process for the 2019 Citizen’s Police Academy will open Monday, July 1, 2019 and be accepted until 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 1, 2019.

Seven new Allentown police officers were sworn-in during a ceremony in City Council Chambers this morning where the department also awarded badges to four recent academy graduates and unveiled new department shirts.
