Flick-N- Float "The Shallows"

Flick-N- Float

The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation will host a Flick-n-Float screening of “The Shallows” at Mack Pool at 1901 Mack Blvd. on Friday, July 13.

This installment of the 2018 Movies in the Park series is for ages 13 to 18 years old. Admission is $2.00 for residents and $4.00 for non-residents. Proof of Residency is required to receive the resident admission rate.

Participants are welcome to bring their own floatation device to be able to enjoy this event from inside the pool.

“Still reeling from the loss of her mother, medical student Nancy (Blake Lively) travels to a secluded beach for some much needed solace. Despite the danger of surfing alone, Nancy decides to soak up the sun and hit the eaves. Suddenly a great white shark attacks forcing her to swim to a giant rock for safety. Left injured and stranded 200 yards from shore, the frightened young woman must fight for her life as the deadly predator circles her in its feeding ground.”

The approximately 87-minute movie is rated PG-13 and will begin at dusk (approximately 8:45pm).

The rain date is Saturday, July 14.
