Clydesdale Team Parades Through Allentown
The world famous Budweiser Clydesdale team paraded through downtown Allentown this afternoon.

The team unloaded late this morning at 10th and Walnut streets.  It traveled north on 10th Street to Hamilton Street and proceeded east to City Hall, stopping at selected clients to make deliveries.  The team was greeted along the route by hundreds of on-lookers, many of whom were snapping pictures.  After stopping briefly at City Hall, the hitch headed west on Linden to 9th and traveled south to Walnut and re-loaded at 10th and Walnut.

The team began the trek at about 12:15pm.  It had been held-up for over an hour by rain.

Mayor Ed Pawlowski, City Council President Julio Guridy, City Councilwoman Cynthia Mota and interim Police Chief Joe Hanna each got a turn to ride on the famous turn of the century beer wagon.

The team has been in the Lehigh Valley for more than a week making various appearances in advance of tomorrow night's Triple A minor league baseball championship game at Coca Cola Park.

The local appearance was arranged by Allentown Beverage in cooperation with Anheuser-Busch InBev.
