The Human Relations Commission of the City of Allentown is seeking nominations for the 36th Annual Human Relations Awards Celebration, which is planned to be held this year at the Barristers Club on Tuesday, October 22, 2013.

The award ceremony honors community members who celebrate Allentown’s diversity through their long-term commitments to a better city for all who live and work here.

“I am awfully proud to be mayor of such a great city with outstanding diversity,” Mayor Ed Pawlowski said. “During this annual celebration, the city formally recognizes those individuals and organizations that have worked diligently to advance equal opportunity in Allentown. I strongly encourage all citizens to nominate someone in the community deserving of this recognition.”
