The city of Allentown has rescheduled three events from the Department of Parks & Recreation 2016 Summer Concert Series that had to be postponed due to inclement weather.

Rescheduled concerts will be made up on the following dates:

Marine Band (from July 30) to Thursday, August 18 at 7:30pm at West Park

Allentown Band (from August 14) to Thursday, September 8 at 7:30pm at West Park

Pioneer Band (from August 6) to Friday, September 9 at 7:30pm at West Park

In addition, the Allentown Band concert originally scheduled for Saturday, August 20 at 7:30pm will begin at 7:00pm prior to the Movies in the Park showing of “Spectre.”

The Allentown Summer Concert Series is a terrific program with more than 50 events held each year from May to September. Many of the concerts are held at the historic West Park with great attendance from the Allentown community.

The 2016 Allentown Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the West Park Civic Association, The Morning Call, Local 45 American Federation of Musicians, Recording Industry’s Music Performance Trust Fund, and Friends of the Allentown Parks.
