Concert & Movie at Union Terrace Pk

The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation will present the next installment of the 2016 Movies in the Park series On Friday, June 3 with “The Good Dinosaur” beginning at dusk in Union Terrace Park. A special concert will be held before the movie from 6:30 – 8pm by 2U, a well-known cover band for U2’s music.

Established in 2000, this U2 tribute band has become globally renowned as “The World’s 2nd Best U2 Show.” This band has created an accurate, live reproduction of studio version U2 songs, and features members Gene Marchello, Joseph Cumia, Denis Perry, and Timothy Bellew.

Following the 2U band concert, setup will take place for “The Good Dinosaur” movie to begin at dusk.

“The Good Dinosaur” stars Jeffrey Wright, Frances McDormand, and Maleah Nipay-Padilla. “In this epic journey into a world where dinosaurs and humans coexist, an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.”

The movie is rated PG and will run for roughly 100 minutes. The rain date, in case of inclement weather, will be Saturday, June 4.

Event parking is available on-street adjacent to the park, as well as in Union Terrace Elementary School and Raub Middle School parking lots.
