A public meeting to discuss the planned 2017 reconstruction of the Hamilton Street Bridge over Cedar Creek in the city of Allentown will be held on Thursday, April 28 from 6pm to 8pm in Allentown City Council Chambers.
The bridge is located on Hamilton between 20th and 21st streets in the vicinity of the Hamilton Family Restaurant.
The project contractor, Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners (PWKP), will make a brief presentation about the project. Representatives of the contractor team and PennDOT will be available to answer questions from the audience following the presentation.
The bridge on Hamilton Street in the city is one of four in Lehigh County being replaced as part of PennDOT’s Rapid Bridge Replacement Project. The other bridges span Saucon Creek, the Catasauqua Creek in Catasauqua Borough and Iron Run in Trexlertown near Route 100. All four will be reconstructed next year.
