Boil Water Advisory Lifted

A Boil Water Advisory issued on Sunday for a portion of the city following a massive Lehigh County Authority water main break on Devonshire Road has been lifted.

A 36” water main break resulted in low water pressure or no water in South Allentown. As a result of this service outage, a boil water advisory had been issued for several thousand customers.

According to the Lehigh County Authority, two days of water samples have showed no signs of bacteria allowing the boil water advisory to be lifted.

If your water looks cloudy, please flush out your faucets by letting the water run for a minute or two. If it doesn’t clear up, call LCA at 610-437-7515 or for after-hours emergencies call 610-965-7341.
