Infrastructure improvements will necessitate some street closings in Downtown Allentown over the next week.

West Walnut Street will be closed from 8th Street to Seventh Street on Wednesday, August 19 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for UGI/SKODA to do a gas service connection for the new City Center apartment building SVN Square East at the corner of Seventh and Walnut streets.

N 9th Street will be closed from Linden Street to Hamilton Street on Saturday, August 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for a crane to lift new HVAC units onto the PPL tower at 2 N 9th Street.

N 6th Street will be closed from Hamilton Street to Linden Street on Tuesday, August 25 from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a crane to lift steel onto the roof of the Americus Hotel.
