After consultation between the Allentown Parking Authority, Mayor Ray O’Connell and City Council, enforcement of street cleaning parking regulations will continue to be suspended until Tuesday, May 26.
Enforcement had been expected to begin on Monday, May 11, but was delayed again today following last night’s decision by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf to extend the stay at home order covering the city until June 4.
Residents may notice the street cleaner in operation, but they are not required to move their vehicles.
Enforcement parking meter violations will resume as previously announced on Monday, May 11. Parking meter enforcement had been suspended since March 18.
