Students Rewarded with Fire Engine Ride
The City of Allentown along with the Allentown Fire Department in partnership with the Allentown School District is rewarding the hard work of some elementary school students with a ride to school in a fire engine. The program begins Tuesday, May 7 at Roosevelt Elementary School and will conclude on Thursday, May 31 at Union Terrace Elementary School.

Two students from each of the participating elementary schools have been selected by their principal to be rewarded with the ride. Students were selected for excellence in academics, behavior, citizenship, perfect attendance, leadership in the classroom and safety patrol.

Schedule and Student Awardees:

May 7 - Roosevelt Elementary School – Juel Pyle & Valentina Yucra – Excellence in Academics

May 9 - Jefferson Elementary School – Aidajanise Martinez & Sicora Floyd - Excellence as a Safety Patrol

May 10 – Sheridan Elementary School – Devian Reginald Mills III & Lissette Villalobos DeJesus – Excellence in Leadership

May 13 – Dodd Elementary School – Angelina Scott - Excellence in Leadership and Elliott Hernandez – Excellence in Behavior

May 14 – Washington Elementary School – Samuel DeJesus & Carlos Lopez – Excellence in Academics

May 15 – Lehigh Parkway Elementary School – Jabrel Abel & Nyeasia Lomax – Perfect Attendance

May 16 – Executive Education Academy – Jordan Ferrando & Nicole Rodriguez – Excellence in Behavior and Academics

May 17 – Ritter Elementary School - Ryan Junglas & Liliana Alvarado – Excellence in Citizenship

May 21 – Muhlenberg Elementary School – Ashley Castillo & Nashaly Polanco – Excellence in Academics

May 22 – Central Elementary School – Jashuan Cauthen & Gissell Miranda – Excellence in Leadership

May 23 – Ramos Elementary School – Antonio Escarfullery & Shade Pearsall – Excellence in Leadership

May 24 –– Roberto Clemente Elementary Charter School - Anthony Castillo & Arianna Morales – Excellence in Citizenship

May 28 – Cleveland Elementary School – Asia Le & Eduardo Rodriguez - Excellence as Safety Patrol

May 29 – McKinley Elementary School – Andrew Colon & Elijah Torres – Excellence in Leadership

May 30 – Mosser Elementary School – Victor Morales – Excellence in Academics - Ellena Sayegh – Excellence in Leadership

May 31 – Union Terrace Elementary School – Aaliyah Brezner & Jefferson Sanango – Excellence as a Safety Patrol

The students will be picked up at their home by a fire engine and transported to their respective school. Arrival at the public schools is expected between 9:05am and 9:10am. Arrival at the charter schools is expected between 8:35am and 8:40am. The students will also receive a certificate from the fire chief and signed by Mayor Ray O’Connell in recognition of their achievement.
