The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation and the Lehigh Valley Center for Independent Living (LVCIL) will hold the 5th annual Fishing in the Park Event in Lehigh Parkway at the Iron Bridge on Saturday, September 22 from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
The event focuses on providing a day of inclusive, accessible outdoor fun for all ages and abilities. Activities include:
- Lehigh Valley Health Network medivac
- St. Luke’s University Health Network make your own first aid kit
- LVCIL arts, crafts and oversized soccer games
- The Da Vinci Science Center science projects
- Friends of the Allentown Parks yard games
- Allentown Recycling make your own reusable shopping bag and touch a truck
- Allentown EMS community first aid
- Allentown Stormwater learn the water cycle activity
- Allentown Police Department K-9 demonstrations
- Lehigh Valley River Runners adaptive kayaking
Refreshments from Angelo’s Concessions will be available for purchase on site at the event.
