Infrastructure projects in the city of Allentown this month will result in some traffic delays and restrictions affecting the Hamilton Street Bridge and some downtown streets.

The city of Allentown’s 2019 Street Repaving Program is in full swing.

Center City motorists in the city of Allentown are advised of street closures scheduled for the week of April 28.

N 9th Street in the city of Allentown will be closed from Turner Street to Gordon Street on Saturday, April 27 from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM for a tree planting run by Old Allentown Preservation Association.

South 12th Street in the city of Allentown will be closed to southbound traffic from Maple Street to Walnut Street on Tuesday, April 16 from 9:00am to 3:00pm for waterline installation at 26 South 12th Street.  

Walnut Street in the city of Allentown from 8th Street to Seventh Street will have periodic lane closures for the next two weeks beginning Friday, April 12.

The 300-600 blocks of Hanover Avenue in the city of Allentown will have various single lane closures from Friday, March 29 through Friday, April 5 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM weekdays

Walnut Street from 8th Street to Seventh Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic from Monday, April 1 through Thursday, April 4 from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily to install storm sewer for the Five City Center project.

Infrastructure work is prompting some traffic restrictions in the city of Allentown.
