The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation’s Movies in the Park series continues Friday, August 18 at Cedar Beach Park with a screening of “The Secret Life of Pets.”

This PG rated animated movie features the voices of Louis C.K., Eric Stonestreet and Kevin Hart. “Max (Louis C.K.) is a spoiled terrier who enjoys a comfortable life in a New York building until his owner adopts Duke (Eric Stonestreet), a giant and unruly canine. During their walk outside, they encounter a group of ferocious alley cats and wind-up in a truck that's bound for the pound. Luckily, a rebellious bunny named Snowball (Kevin Hart) swoops in to save the doggy duo from captivity. In exchange, Snowball demands that Max and Duke join his gang of abandoned pets on a mission against the humans who've done them wrong.”

The approximately 87 minute show will begin at dusk (approximately 8:15pm).

Kona Ice and Couchpota-Doh! mobile food vendors will be on site selling refreshments.
