The Snow Emergency in the City of Allentown was lifted effective at 6am on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.
Parking is once again permitted on Snow Emergency Routes.
City residents are advised to wait until plows have been down their street before shoveling driveways and ask residents to avoid throwing snow back onto the streets.
Interim Public Works Director Craig Messinger said, “We ask that the public please refrain from throwing snow into the street. We ask for your patience and cooperation to allow our crews to do their jobs.”
The city’s “Snow Operations Hotline” is open at 610-437-7669.
