Allentown City Council has confirmed Susan Ellis Wild as City Solicitor. Mayor Ed Pawlowski nominated Wild last month to succeed City Solicitor Jerry Snyder who retired effective January 2 after serving for more than seven years in the post.

Wild is a partner in the Allentown law firm of Gross McGinley where she specializes in municipal law, litigation and medical malpractice.

Wild is a past president of the Bar Association of Lehigh County, and in 2013 was selected as one of the Top 50 Women Lawyers in Pennsylvania. She was also selected to be included in the list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for five consecutive years (2010-2014).

Wild holds a law degree from George Washington University Law School.

Council voted 6-0 to confirm Wild last evening. Council President Julio Guridy was absent.
