Motorists in the city of Allentown are being advised that a nearly half-mile stretch of Irving Street is being repaved this week from Hanover Avenue to Union Boulevard.

Irving Street is closed daily from Hanover Avenue to Union Boulevard from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for milling and prepping. It will be closed on Saturday, October 10 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for the final paving.

The project is part of the city’s cost sharing program with UGI Corp. The total estimated material cost for the project is $80,000. The city portion of the material cost is estimated at $2,300.
