COVID-19 Service Disruptions
The effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 is resulting in some City of Allentown service disruptions.

The city is suspending its street cleaning program effective Wednesday, March 18 and continuing through Sunday, April 5. Although residents may still see a sweeper operating on their street, no street cleaning tickets will be issued during the suspension.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf has urged all non-essential businesses to close for at least 14 days to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

As a result, more vehicles are parked on all city streets leaving those vehicles on designated street cleaning streets with little place to go.

Non-essential businesses include public-facing industries such as entertainment, hospitality, and recreation facilities, including but not limited to community and recreation centers; gyms, including yoga, barre and spin facilities; hair salons and barber shops, nail salons and spas; casinos; concert venues; theaters; sporting event venues and golf courses; retail facilities, including shopping malls except for pharmacy or other health care facilities within retail operations.

Further, the Governor has ordered that all restaurants and bars close their dine-in facilities to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Businesses that offer carry-out, delivery, and drive-through food and beverage service may continue to do so, but eating and drinking inside restaurants and bars is temporarily prohibited

The Li’l -Le-Hi Trout Nursery Hatch House from which fish food is sold to the public is closed until further notice. Fish food is still being sold from available vending machines.

Allentown Municipal Golf Course is closed until further notice.

Jack's Slice at Allentown Municipal Golf Course is closed.
