Flick-N-Float "Moana" at Cedar Beach Pool

The City of Allentown Department of Parks and Recreation opens its 2019 “Movies in the Park” season on Saturday, May 25 at Cedar Beach Pool with the showing of “Moana.” This installment is a Flick-n-Float for all ages. Gates open at 7:15PM. Admission is $2.00 for residents and $4.00 for non-residents. Proof of residency is required to receive the resident admission rate.

Participants are welcome to bring their own flotation device to be able to enjoy this event from inside the pool. The Cedar Beach Pool concession stand will be open during this event with food items for sale such as hot dogs, soft pretzels, pizza, ice cream, chips, nachos, water, soda and Slush Puppy iced drinks.

"Moana" is the story of “an adventurous teenager who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, Moana meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master way-finder. Together they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds.”

The approximately 107-minute movie is rated PG and will begin at dusk (approximately 8:45PM).

The rain date is Sunday, May 26.

Eight movies are on the 2019 “Movies in the Park” calendar, including “A Star is Born” and “Mary Poppins Returns.” The season runs through Saturday, September 14.
