Cranes erected at two construction sites are prompting a street closure and a lane restriction in downtown Allentown.

Sixth Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic from Walnut Street to Hamilton Street on Friday, November 9 from 9:00am to 3:30pm to set up a crane for work on the Walnut Street Commons Project.

Court Street from 4th Street to College Street will be closed on Thursday, November 8 from 7:00am to 3:00pm for a crane to set up to lift elevator equipment for the Lehigh County Prison.

Access to the parking deck from Court Street will remain open except for a half hour when the crane sets up in the morning and a half hour when the crane tears down at the end of the day.
