NoMaD Band Coming to Union Terrace

The “North of Mason-Dixon” Band will be performing at Allentown’s Union Terrace Amphitheater from 7pm to 9:30pm on Saturday, August 26 as part of the city’s Saturday in the Park concert series.

North of Mason-Dixon, aka NOMaD, broke on to the country scene in 2005 after placing as runner up in the highly publicized Colgate Country Showdown. This six-piece band mixes the best of modern and classic country with timeless classic rock in a high-energy show that always leaves audiences wanting more. This act brings their rock roots to the stage all over the country.

NOMaD has been featured and performed on nationally syndicated radio shows and featured in numerous news articles and chosen as the “Next Big Thing” by Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. NOMaD was the 2014 Buffalo Trace Bourbon 'Battle of the Bands' Grand Prize winner and Country Genre winner of the Fiat 'BandPrix' Band competition.

NOMaD’s bio describes them as “an innovative band combining infectious lyrics and melodies with the energy, passion, and ambition that promise to carry them far beyond the Mason-Dixon Line and solidify them a spot in the music industry of the future.”

The City of Allentown’s Saturday in the Park Series features a wide variety of concerts in our parks during the summer of 2017. The series features The Big House Band, The Large Flowerheads, the NoMaD “North of Mason-Dixon” Band, as well as Lucky 7.

Union Terrace Amphitheater is located on South St. Elmo Street between Reading Road & West Union Street.
