West Park Hosts Special Lively Lunches Kick-off

Singer/songwriters Kendal Conrad, Tim Harakal, and Stefanie Johnson will be performing at Allentown’s West Park on Friday, April 28 from 7pm to 9pm to kick-off the 2017 Lively Lunches in the Park series.

The City of Allentown’s Lively Lunches in the Park is a lunchtime music program held in the Allentown Arts Park at Fifth & Linden streets every Tuesday and Friday from May 9 – September 26. This kickoff concert features a few of the well-known local artists to celebrate the impending start of the downtown lunchtime program.

Kendal Conrad will be performing from 7:00pm-7:40 pm followed by Tim Harakal from 7:40pm-8:20pm. Stefanie Johnson will perform from 8:20pm-9:00pm.

Kendal Conrad is a singer, actor, published writer, and award-winning songwriter. Kendal appeared on MTV and recently sang a duet onstage with Keith Urban. She was 2013 International Miss Talent and won the title with her original song "Girlstrong." She has performed at the White House, Wells Fargo Center, Sands Casino, Six Flags, Hersheypark, the Bitter End, and Musikfest, as well as the Susquehanna Bank Center for 92.5 XTU's anniversary party.

Stefanie Johnson is singer/songwriter who plays the guitar from the Lehigh Valley. With her “Kelly Clarkson meets Taylor Swift” sound, Stefanie adds the taste of rock to her love torn lyrics and catchy hooks. Stefanie’s stories are inspired from personal experiences. In 2017 Stefanie was signed to Escape Music located in England. She continues to showcase her songs by taking the stage at Musikfest, as well as appearing on the television music series “Steel Sessions,” and singing the National Anthem at Coca-Cola Park.

Tim Harakal is an acoustic pop/folk singer/songwriter from Whitehall. Tim is a self-taught guitarist. Influenced by his favorite band Metallica, his music morphed into an acoustic art form with a pop-rock edge. He’s written and recorded 40+ songs during his college years playing coffee shops, cafes, opera houses, pubs etc. in the greater Philadelphia area. Tim has been featured as “Cream of the Crop” from Philly Rising. He was recently awarded the titles of “Best Singer/Song Writer” and “Best Lyricist” and has been featured numerous times in local print, television, and radio.

The Lively Lunches in the Park program will conclude with an “End of Summer Concert” at West Park on Friday, September 29, from 7pm – 9pm.
