Eighteen volunteers from the city of Allentown were honored last night with a Service Award from Mayor Ed Pawlowski at a ceremony in City Council Chambers. In the fourth year of the program, the recipients were nominated by others for their volunteer efforts in faith based, business or community organizations. Each received a certificate signed by the mayor.

Some 30 persons attended the ceremony.
