Crews from the city of Allentown Streets Bureau will be collecting leaves into December. Residents are reminded to rake only leaves into the street, a foot from the curb, for pick up by vacuum trucks. As of December 1, residents are urged to bag their leaves in plastic garbage bags for pick up by the Streets Department. Residents must call the Bureau of Streets at 610-437-7638 prior to putting their bags at the curb. Please allow a few days for the pick-up of the bagged leaves. Bags that have a mixture of leaves and garbage WILL NOT be picked up.

The last week of curbside yard waste collection is the week of Thanksgiving, Sunday, November 22 to Friday, November 27. Items should be placed in containers on your recycling night.

The yard waste site will close for regular season hours on Monday, November 23, 2015. The site will be open on Saturday, December 5 from 10am to 12pm.
