Where's Waldo? In Downtown Allentown of course! The famous children’s book character in the striped shirt and black-rimmed specs will be hiding in twenty-five different local businesses throughout our community this July. 

Where’s Waldo is the creation of Martin Handford, whose entertaining drawings of crowd scenes swept the world in the late eighties. In celebration of Waldo's longevity and popularity, his American publisher, Candlewick Press, is once again teaming up with the American Booksellers Association and 250 independent bookstores all across the country, including Moravian Book Shop here in Allentown, for some scavenger hunt fun as well as to encourage communities to patronize their local businesses. 

So, how can you find Waldo? Visit Moravian Book Shop any time in July for a passport to show you where he is hiding. Then, visit 25 businesses throughout Downtown Allentown and seek him out! Find 10 Waldos and stop back at Moravian Book Shop for a special reward. Find 20 or more and your passport will be entered into our grand raffle for some wonderful Waldo prizes. We’ll sum things up with a big Waldo party at Moravian Book Shop on August 3^rd where the winners will be announced!
