PUBLIC HEARING
 
                        NOTICE is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board will meet in Council Chambers, Room #118, City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA on Monday, February 8, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of hearing the following appeals.
 
ALL APPELLANTS MUST APPEAR AT MEETING
 
 
                        1. A-62936 1126 Linden Street   Appeal of E D & J Investments, LLC for variance for Caleigh Miller to convert vacant cleaning service office into RETAIL USED CLOTHING SALES and replace face of existing PROJECTING SIGN (3′ x 5′), interior illum., at front, with use not being entirely contained and operated within the main walls of a building containing at least 25,000 sq. ft. of residential or hotel floor area, and not permitted to have an exterior entrance, located in a High Density Residential (R-H) District.
 
                        2. A-62943   809½-813 North 7th Street    Appeal of Joseph Negrao to convert used furniture store into a TAKE-OUT RESTAURANT, & change face of existing flat wall sign (3′ x16′), non-illum., at front, being a change of a use and sign granted by the Zoning Hearing Board under Application No. 50864 on November 22, 1994, located in a Medium High Density Residential (R-MH) District. Applicant requests approval on the basis of either a variance or as a change of a nonconforming use, and requests a finding that the property is nonconforming with respect to parking. Alternatively, applicant requests a parking variance.
 
                        3. A-62954 714-724 Liberty Street Appeal of Edis Fermin for variance to remove all existing signs and ERECT 5 SIGNS (1 flat wall @ 5′ x 8′ on Liberty St. non-illum.; 2 flat wall @ 2′ x 6′ non-illum. & 1 flat wall @ 2′ x 8′ interior illum. on N. Hall St. side, and 1 freestanding sign 4′ x 5′ non-illum., at northwest corner), with flat wall signs on Hall St. not permitted (one, 40 sq. ft. sign per street frontage permitted; one, 40 sq. ft. per street frontage proposed; 3 additional flat wall signs at 40 additional sq. ft. proposed), and freestanding sign not permitted (non-residential building not set back minimum of 20 feet from street right-of-way), located in a Limited Business/Residential (B-1/R) District.
 
All persons interested or those desiring to protest against the allowance of the above appeals may appear and be heard. The appeals listed above may be reviewed at the Zoning Office, 4th Floor, City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania.
 
THE FOLLOWING APPEAL WILL BE BEFORE THE BOARD AT THE ABOVE DATE, TIME, AND PLACE FOR DISCUSSION BY THE BOARD AND THE RENDERING OF AN OPINION.
