ZONING HEARING BOARD

PUBLIC HEARING

 

 

                        NOTICE is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board will meet in Council Chambers, Room #118, City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA on Monday, August 3, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. for the purpose of hearing the following appeals.

 

ALL APPELLANTS  MUST APPEAR AT MEETING

 

 

                        1.  A-66947   114-122 Allen Street & 124-126 Allen Street   Special Use Application of Slovak Gym U Sokol #77 for Luz Naciente Seventh-Day Adventist Church to convert membership club into PLACE OF WORSHIP @ 114-122 Allen St., and demolish garage to CONSTRUCT 12 SPACE PARKING LOT at 124-126 Allen St., with place of worship & parking lot being uses permitted by Special Exception under Article 1313.01.D. & 1313.01.F., & parking lot having insuff. driving aisle width (24 ft. req.; 14 ft. proposed), & not having req. planter strip @ north or buffer strip @ east, west & south side, located in a Medium High Density Residential (R-MH) and Traditional Neighborhood Development Overlay (TNDO) District. 

 

 

                        2.  A-67067   351-379 Auburn Street   Appeal of Gilah Properties LLC et al.  to construct 4 ADDITIONAL DWELLING UNITS (for a total of 39), being an expansion of a use granted by the Zoning Hearing Board under Application No. 57899 on February 2, 2004, & not having required 35 additional sq. ft. of storage space per dwelling unit in a convenient location (0 sq.ft. proposed), located in a Business/Light Industrial (B/LI) District.

 

 

                        3.  A-67106 244-248 East Susquehanna Street  Appeal of Anthony & Magdallene Figueredo for variance for Cintia Lazo to use 3-bay garage for REPAIR GARAGE OF AUTOS & erect FLAT WALL SIGN (2 ft. x 10 ft.) non-illum., at front, with use & sign being prohibited, and opening in wall within 15 ft. of any lot line of a residential district prohibited (0 ft. existing), & being within 50 ft. of a primarily residential use prohibited, (3 dwelling units existing), located in a Medium Density Residential (R-M) District.

 

 

All persons interested or those desiring to protest against the allowance of the above appeals may appear and be heard.  The appeals listed above may be reviewed at the Zoning Office, 4th Floor, City Hall, 435 Hamilton Street, Allentown, Pennsylvania.
