14910 - Amending the 2011 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of sixteen thhousand six hundred seventy ($16,670.00) dollars.  This is a donation from Capital Blue Cross to the Police Department Anti-Crime program to provide for a surveillance camera at Hamilton and Jefferson Streets. 

14909 - Amending the 2011 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of five hundred forty-eight dollars ($548.70) and seventy cents.  This reflects reimbursement from the State of Pennsylvania, Office of the Attorney General for training.

14908 - Amending the 2011 Capital Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Three Hundred Seven Thousand and Five Hundred Dollars ($307,500) reflecting money being given to the City of Allentown from Sacred Heart Hospital. These funds will be used to install pedestrian lighting, bus lay-bys, crosswalks and other streetscape improvements for the Heart of the City Phase II located in the general vicinity of Sacred Heart Hospital and Central Catholic High School. The Bureau of Traffic Planning and Control is supervising and monitoring the grant.

14886 - Amending the 2011 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Ninteen Thousand Nine Hundred and Sixty Five ($19,965) Dollars from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of Family Health.  The purpose of the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant (CLPPP) is to test children, 6 months through six years, and pregnant women for elevated blood lead levels; case-manage patients with lead-poisoning; and provide environmental inspections using a Radiation Monitoring Device (RMD) to generate inspection reports.  This SAF will allow us to 1) purchase a RMD, 2) send staff to CLPPP/Healthy Home training, and 3) purchase supplies.

14878 - Amending the 2011 Capital Fund Budget to provide for an appropriation of Four Hundred Thousand ($400,000.00) Dollars reflecting receipt of funds from property owner reimbursement to install replacement and new curbing, sidewalks, crossovers in advance of the 2011 Streets Improvement Program.  the Bureau of Engineering is supervising and monitoring the funds.

14877 - Amending the 2011 General Fund Budget to provide for a new appropriation of Thirty Two Thousand Five Hundred and Three ($32,503) Dollars from the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Office of Public Health Preparedness, and Five Thousand ($5,000) Dollars from the National Association of City and County Health Officials, to the Health Bureau's Immunization Program budget.  The Allentown Volunteer Medical Reserve Corps (AVMRC) funding will improve the health and safety of Allentown residents through the use of medical and nonmedical volunteers.  AVMRC will enhance public health emergency response capacity by increasing the availability of a skilled workforce of medical and nonmedical volunteers in addition to public health professionals.  The total supplemental appropriation for AVMRC would be Thirty Seven Thousand Five Hundred and Three ($37,503) Dollars.

14876- Amending the 2011 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Twenty Thousand ($20,000) Dollars from the Pennsylvania Department of Health Division of Health Risk Reduction, and Three Hundred ($300) from Share Our Strength, a national nonprofit, to the Health Bureau's Nutrition and Physical Activity Program budget.  The Pennsylvania Department of Health grant entitled Safe and Healthy Communities will promote policy and environmental change strtegies with a focus on healthy eating, physical activity, restricting tobacco use, and preventing chronic disease and unintentional injuries.  The Share Our Strength "Shopping Matters for WIC Parents" will provide families the opportunities to learn how to make healthy foods choices on a limited budget.

14726 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Twenty-five Thousand ($25,000) Dollars to provide for the receipt of a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources.  This grant will provide funding to purchase and install shade trees in the City at various locations.

14727 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Five Thousand ($5,000) Dollars from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, DCED, grant number C000030228, to provide for a portable thermal imaging camera for the Emergency Response Team.

14728 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Forty Six Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty ($46,720) Dollars to provide for the receipt of a grant from the Lehigh Valley Workforce Investment Board.  This grant will provide funding to hire forty-six (46) economically discadvantaged young adults (18-24 years of age) for  the Summer Playground Program under the Innovative Summer Youth Program under the provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. 

14729 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Seven Thousand Five Hundred ($7,500) Dollars from the Pennsylvania Department  of Health to the Health Bureau's Injury Prevention Program budget to enable the purchase of child passenger safety seats and carbon monoxide detectors for distribution to City residents.

14730 - Amending the 2009 Capital Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000) Dollars from the Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Revolving  Loan Fund.  These funds will be passed on to the Allentown Economic Development Corporation for the demolition of the Calo Building, 27 North Front Street.

14731 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Twelve Thousand Seventy Five ($12,075) Dollars as a result of payment from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs Baseball team to the City of Allentown Paramedics for provisioning of on-site Emergency Medical Services  during baseball games at Coca-Cola park for the months of April and May 2009.

14732 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Nine Hundred Thirty ($930) Dollars from Susquehanna Bank Samuel Geltman & Company, on behalf of Allen Gardens, Valley View and Tremont Apartments, Walter and Altertina Helinsky and St. Margaret's Nursery School, to the Fire Department, for fire safety equipment for the Allentown Fire  Department.

14733 - Amending the City of Allentown Zoning Ordinance, by adding a definition, Veterans Treatment Center,  adding such centers as a special exception under permitted uses in the I-G Zone, establishing parking requirements for such a use, and adding additional requirements for such a use, rezoning an area depicted on Exhibit "A" from Central Business (B-2) to Institutional and Government Zoning district, providing for an effective date, and repealing Ordinances inconsistent herewith.

14734 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Seventy-One Thousand Two Hundred Fifty ($71,25) Dollars as a result of three grants received by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crim and Delinquency for Weed and Seed. 

14735 - Amending the 2009 Capital Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Two Hundred Fifty Thousand ($250,000) Dollars to provide for a grant from the Harry C. Trexler Trust to the City of Allentown for the Old Allentown Homeownership Iniatiave Program.

14736 - Amending the 2009 Capital Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Four Hundred Eighteen Thousand ($418,000) Dollars reflecting receipt of a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDot) to install new street lights, underground wiring, curb and sidwalk repairs along North Seventh Street from Turner Street to Gordan Street.  The Bureau of Traffic Planning and Control is supervising and monitoring the grant.

14737 - Amending Article 1741, Property Rehabilitation and Maintenance Code, Amends the Property Rehabilitation and Maintenance Code in various sections to bring it into compliance with other codes (Zoning and Fire) and other statutes, providing for violation tickets and an appeal process, identification of property, regulations on security devices for storefronts, and increases certain fees for the rental inspection program.

14738 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Fifty Thousand  ($50,000) Dollars in Elm Street funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to provide funding necessary to continue the implementation of the Elm Street Program in Old Allentown Program Area. 

14739 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental of Eleven Thousand and Sixty-Seven ($11,067) Dollars from Pennsylvania Department of Health Division of Immunizations to the Health Bureau's Immunization Program budget, and Six Thousand ($6,000) Dollars from Maternal Family Health Services,  and Twenty Five Thousand ($25,000) Dollars from The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors and Ten Thousand ($10,000) Dollars from Lehigh County Children and Youth to the Health Bureau's Nutrition & Physical Activity Program budget.  The total supplemental appropriation for these three programs would be Fifty Two Thousand Sixty Seven ($52,067) Dollars.

14740 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for the supplemental appropriation of Thrity-Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Three ($37,863) Dollars from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency for the Weed and Seed Strengthening Family Programs.

14741 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Three Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Nine Dollars and Fifty-Eight Cents ($3,349.58) from the Environmental Protection Agency for Brownfield Redelopment Projects.

14742 - Amending Article 532, Limitations on the Parking of Trucks and Trailers by providing for the loading and unloading of Recreational Vehicles and Truck Campers.

14743 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of One Hundred  Fifty Thousand Nine Hundred Forty-Seven Dollars and Seventy-Seven Cents ($150,947.77) from the Department of Justice, Joint Justice Assistance Grant, Award Number 2009-SB-B9-2087 to the equipment and software and Crime Analysis Consulting Services.  This ordinance also reflects pass through grants to South Whitehall Township, $30,565.30, the Borough fo Emmaus, $11,951.95 and the Borough of Fountain Hill, $11,560.55

14745 - Providing for the vacation of South Ann Street from East Hamilton Street to East Maple Street in the Fourteenth Ward of the City of Allentown.

14746 - An Ordinance providing for the expenditure of certain monies received by the City of Allentown from the Homelessness Prevention Fund created under Title XII of Division  A of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  This Program, the Homelessness Prevention and Urban Development (HUD).

14747 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of One Million ($1,000.00) Dollars to provide for the grant from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Office of the Budget.  This is a pass through grant to the Allentown Housing Authority for work done on the Hanover Acres Project.

14748 - An Ordinance providing for the expenditure of certain monies received by the City of Allentown from funds authorized under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.  This Program, the Community Development Block Grant-R (CDBG-R) Program, falls under the jurisdiction of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

14749 -  Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropriation of Seventy Thousand ($70,000) Dollars in Main Street funding from the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to provide funding necessary to continue the implentation of the Main Street Program in Main Street Program Area.

14750 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for an additional Five Thousand ($5,000) Dollars be appropriated to the Emergency Medical Services Premium Pay account to pay overtime costs to paramedics who will be giving vaccinations at the Health Bureau's seasonal and H1N1 flu clinics scheduled over the remainder of this year (2009).  The Pennsylvania Department of Health will reimburse the 100% for this cost.

14751 - Amending the 2009 General Fund Budget to provide for a supplemental appropration of Eighteen Thousand and Seven dollars and fifty cents ($18,007.50) as a result of payment from the Lehigh Valley IronPigs Baseball Team to the City of Allentown Paramedics for providing on-site Emergency Medical Services during baseball games at Coca-Cola Park for the months of June, July and August 2009.

14752 - Amending article 507 (traffic control Maps) of the Codified Ordinances of the City of Allentown by the removal of all parking meters along the north and south sides of Chew Street  beginning on the west side of 8th Street continuing west on Chew Street to the east side of 10th Street and establishing a two (2) hour time zone along the north and south sides of Chew Street beginning on the west side of 8th Street continuing west on Chew Street to the east side of 10th Street.

14753 - Amending Article 1741, Property Rehabilitation and Maintenance Code, by eliminating the exempt status of certain properties that are currently exempted, increasing the fee to $75 a unit in order to have the program pay for itself, and restoing two paragraphs in the Licensure Section which were mistakenly removed during the updates in September.
