Mission Statement:
With over 170 individual buildings throughout the City of Allentown, the Bureau is in charge of maintaining the structures as well as plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
The staff of licensed tradesmen includes Carpenters, Plumbers, Electricians, and Heating and Cooling Specialists and does regular maintenance on all the systems.
The Tradesmen also make renovations and improvements such as the new lobby area on the 1st floor of City Hall.
The Custodial Staff maintains and provides full custodial services to 14 City offices and facilities. The buildings are maintained to provide a better working environment for our co-workers and a clean and safe place for the citizens to conduct their business with the City.
Everyday, the Building Maintenance Staff works with the other Departments of the City to maintain their buildings, from Fire Stations to Park Buildings, so those other Departments can better serve the citizens of Allentown
